Josh August, CPCU, CIC, AU, CRIS, MRIS, is Vice President – Industry Segments at EMC Insurance Companies, where he leads strategy and solutions for key commercial sectors from the Des Moines, Iowa, office. Over more than two decades with EMC, he has progressed through a series of underwriting and product leadership roles, building deep expertise across EMC’s industry verticals which include Manufacturing, Construction, Wholesale, Retail & Services and Public Entities.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Simpson College and multiple professional designations, including CPCU, CIC, AU, CRIS, and MRIS. Josh is an active industry voice, frequently contributing to discussions on the hard market and emerging risks facing manufacturers and other specialized industries.
