Melissa Schultz

Melissa Schultz has been a part of Community Insurance Agency since 2010, continuing the family legacy that began when her father founded the agency in 1981. What started as a single office in Lafayette, Minnesota, has grown to serve clients throughout the area with additional locations in Gaylord, Nicollet, Le Sueur, and New Ulm.
As Agency Manager, Melissa is passionate about leading a team that values exceptional customer service while maintaining the small-town, family-oriented atmosphere that has always been the foundation of the agency. She believes insurance is about much more than policies—it's about building lasting relationships, earning trust, and being there when clients need support the most.

Melissa takes great pride in getting to know each client personally. Whether helping families navigate the stress of an insurance claim or finding ways to reduce premiums during challenging financial times, she is committed to providing honest guidance and personalized service. Her goal is for every client to feel like they have a trusted advisor who genuinely cares about their well-being.

Outside of the office, Melissa and her husband stay busy raising their two children—a son, age 5, and a daughter, age 7. As a family, they enjoy spending time at the cabin, cheering on their kids at sporting events, and taking advantage of Minnesota's outdoors whenever they can.
