Professional Bio
Chad Bjugan is President of Richfield State Insurance in Richfield, MN. Chad also is a partner in Carver Insurance Group in Carver, MN.
He currently is the State National Director for Minnesota and sits on the board of the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers (MIIAB). Chad sits on the national Big I Government Affairs Committee.
In 2013, Chad served as President of the MIIAB. Prior to his work with the MIIAB, Chad served on the Young Agent Council board from 2007-2010 and was elected President of the Minnesota Young Agents in 2010.
Chad has served on the Minnesota Government Affairs Committee since 2011 to the present, chairing the committee from 2012-2014.
He has held seats on advisory councils for several companies and was elected President of the Safeco Midwest Advisory Council in 2017. Chad serves on the Minnesota Automobile Assigned Claims Bureau Governing Committee as we as the Minnesota Department of Commerce Board of Review.
Prior to becoming an agency owner, Chad worked for Allstate Insurance as a trainer and was an underwriter for Austin Mutual/Main Street America.
Chad is also active in his local community, serving on the Richfield Chamber of Commerce Board for 2004-2008 and was elected President of the Richfield Chamber in 2007. He also served on the 934th Airlift Wing Military Affairs Council from 2004-2008. Chad currently assistant girls varsity lacrosse coach for Chanhassen High School.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and resides in Chaska, MN with his wife Nicole and two children (who are now in college). They spend their free time traveling around the country to watch their daughter Gabby, a freshman, play Division 1 women’s lacrosse at Towson (Baltimore, MD).
