Jean Sundlof joined Kraus-Anderson Insurance in June of 1999.  Jean's first position with Kraus was a combined Senior Account Executive and Marketer role.  She moved into production in 2006 and is currently Director of Captives, Coverage, and Risk Consulting. Prior to joining Kraus-Anderson, Jean worked at Youngdahl Companies for seven years.  She had various responsibilities including sales, account executive work, and marketing.  Jean has also served as an Agency Operations Representative for Great American Insurance Company and as Executive Director of Associated Risk Managers of Oklahoma.  She began her career working with an independent insurance agency in Oklahoma in a sales and marketing capacity.

Jean received her BBA and MBA in Management from the University of Oklahoma.  She obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1980 and her Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1982.  She serves as a member of the National Faculty for the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance, teaching both CIC and CISR.  She is also an active faculty member for Swiss Re in instructing Agent's E&O courses.  Jean completed the requirements to be designated as Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) in 2007.  She was the first Minnesotan to receive this designation.   She recently also holds the CCI and CPIA designations.

Jean was honored by the Oklahoma Association of Professional Insurance Agents in 1984 as Insurance Women of the year.  She was also privileged to be named Young Agent of the Year in 1998 by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents.  She is currently Vice President of Big I Minnesota.

Catherine L. Trischan,

BIO:

Cathy Trischan has been with the E&K Agency in Eatontown, NJ since 1996, currently serving as Director of Commercial Underwriting. She began her insurance career upon graduation from Rutgers University in 1987. She has
worked as a claims adjuster for a major property and casualty carrier as well as in the commercial departments of several large, New Jersey agencies. In addition to her work with E&K, Cathy provides education and consulting
services to other agents, brokers and insurance companies. She is a National Faculty member of The National Alliance, speaking in both the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Insurance Service Representatives
(CISR) programs. She has taught both pre-licensing and continuing education courses for PIA, Brookdale Community College and other institutions.
She has written courses and articles on various insurance topics and has served as an expert witness. Cathy holds several professional designations including CPCU, CIC and CRM. She received an Award for Academic Excellence from the Insurance Institute of America and is a participant in the CPCU Society’s Continuing Professional Development program

Tim McClendon
CIC, CWCA

BIO:

Tim McClendon began his insurance career in 1972.  His training included several years with a major carrier in all facets of the property and casualty business. Tim is Managing Partner of Hertel McClendon, L.L.P. in Fort Worth, Texas.  The agency maintains an additional location in Austin, Texas.  The agency is affiliated with Insurors Group, L.L.C., comprised of twelve professional agencies in Fort Worth, Austin and all over Texas.

Tim earned the Certified Insurance Counselor professional designation in 1977, the Certified Workers Compensation Advisor designation in 2004, and is a licensed risk manager.  His clients include manufacturers, printers, law firms, technology, retail and contracting risks. A graduate of Texas Christian University, Tim holds a BBA degree in Management.  He is a member of the TCU Lettermen's Association and the TCU Alumni Association.

As a member of the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance National Faculty, Tim teaches insurance courses throughout Texas and around the country including Certified Insurance Service Representatives, Certified Insurance Counselors and Ruble Seminars.  Tim was chosen as one of seven charter members of The Alliance's Distinguished Faculty in 2014.

He is a past chairman of the Board of Governors for the Society of CISR.  Tim recently served as Chairman of the Technical Affairs Committee for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and is a past chairman of Mid-America Insurance Conference. He is a past "Teacher of the Year" for Professional Insurance Agents of Texas and has been a member of the adjunct faculty teaching insurance and risk management courses for the M. J. Neeley School of Business at TCU. He has taught classes for the University of Dallas MBA program, the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, CPCU Society, CFP program and in-house classes for many insurance carriers and agencies.  Tim also serves as an expert witness in insurance-related litigation.
